ASUS announced the A8Jr notebook series, featuring the very latest in visual processing capabilities. The slim and lightweight A8Jr will be based on Intel’s Core2 Duo processor and will be the world’s first notebook series to utilize ATI’s Mobility Radeon X2300 GPU for crisp, stunning graphics.

The new ATI Mobility Radeonâ„¢ X2300 will boost graphics performance, and utilize ATI’s HyperMemoryâ„¢ memory management technology to deliver enhanced ‘performance-per-watt’ operations. It will also offer Certified for Windows Vistaâ„¢ 3D graphics that support the visually stunning Windows Aeroâ„¢ user interface. This enables the A8Jr to deliver smooth and professional performance with current and future 3D-intensive applications and games.

With ASUS’ Splendid Video Intelligence Technology, the A8Jr will integrate different multimedia data sources to reduce noise and conversion rate for a sharp display with better contrast, brightness, skin tone and color saturation for all video applications. Mobile entertainment will be further improved with the notebook’s high-definition support capability, and users can enjoy high-quality DVD movies and HD video playback on the go.

A built-in microphone and high-resolution webcam will make video conferencing hassle-free. Strategically placed speakers at the front end of the notebook will enhance face-to-face communications by focusing reception on spoken words and limiting distracting sounds.
