Toshiba Announces Latest Satellite M115 Notebooks. Toshiba’s Digital Products Division, a division of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., announced its latest Satellite® M115 notebooks that offer consumers on-the-go productivity and entertainment in a “thin and light” form factor to fit any budget.

Starting at just over five pounds, each notebook in the Satellite® M115 line-up features a 14.1-inch WXGA diagonal display with TruBrite™ technology that offer stunning images for games or movies and the easy viewing of spreadsheets and other documents.

The notebooks also feature high-capacity 5400 rpm serial-ATA (SATA) hard disk drives for faster access to stored files, DDR2 533 MHz SDRAM memory3 for better performance of productivity applications, music, picture and video multimedia files, as well as four USB 2.0 ports for connectivity of accessories and peripherals.

The notebooks are also Windows Vista Capable, ensuring consumers will be able to upgrade to the new Windows Vista operating system while taking advantage of all the opportunities offered by Windows XP today. In addition, all new Toshiba Satellite® notebooks are RoHS-compatible, reducing harmful environmental effects by restricting the use of lead, mercury and certain other hazardous substances.

With an estimated single unit price (ESUP) starting under $700, the highly affordable Satellite® M115-S1061 value model features an Intel® Celeron® M Processor 420 (1.60GHz, 1MB L2, 533MHz FSB) suited to handle everyday mobile computing. The notebook also incorporates an 80GB serial-ATA hard disk drive, 512MB DDR2 SDRAM of memory, and Atheros® 802.11 (b/g) wireless LAN technology. The notebook features Microsoft® Windows XP Home Edition.For mobile productivity, the Satellite® M115-S3094 mainstream model features the Intel® Core™ Duo Processor T2050 (1.60GHz, 2MB L2, 533MHz FSB) as well as 512MB DDR2 SDRAM dual-channel memory and an 80GB serial-ATA hard disk drive. The notebook features Microsoft® Windows XP Media Center Edition and has an ESUP starting under $850. Both the Satellite® M115-S3094 and Satellite® M115-S1061 come in Mist Gray.
