HP Compaq nc8430 Notebook PC combines cutting-edge mobile computing technologies, high-end graphics, and high-resolution displays into a thin and light package. Though it is positioned by HP as a business laptop, its widescreen 15 inch wide viewing angle display and powerful graphics chipset may attract home users as well. The only thing that will remind you about business orientation of this laptop is its strict “office” design.

HP offers three preconfigured models: nc8430 (RN030AW), nc8430 (RB554UT) and nc8430 (RB553UT) built around T7200(2.0GHZ) and T5600 (1.83GHZ) (in RB553UT model). All nc8430 models feature ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 graphics controller with 256 MB of discrete video memory. You may also configure your notebook. And here HP offers some more Core 2 Duo options. You can choose between T5600 (1.83GHZ), T7200(2.0GHZ), T7400(2.16GHZ) and T7600(2.33GHZ) CPUs. Memory options go up to 4GB of DDR2 667-MHz FSB. Configurable options let you choose more speedy 7200RPM 80GB or 100GB hard drive.
