HP Pavilion dv9000t is Intel based member of Pavilion 17″ wide screen dv9000 series and is the first in HP Pavilion line of desktop replacement notebooks to feature new Intel Core 2 Duo processor.

The dv9000t features the powerful Intel Core Duo and 64-bit Core 2 Duo processors. With two execution cores on a single chip, it can run multiple multimedia applications in parallel without slowing the system. The dv9000t also supports dual hard drives with up to 240GB (120GB x 2) storage.

The notebooks in this series feature a cool-looking, black resin finish with wave pattern. The dv9000t also has a full-size keyboard with separate numeric keypad; you control the volume and launch buttons by tapping or swiping your finger across a strip on the keyboard.

With this model’s optional integrated 1.3 MP webcam and dual omni-directional microphones, it’s easy to stay in touch with friends and family. Use the webcam with an instant messaging application to have a live chat with people who have an Internet connection anywhere in the world. Or use a video application to capture video for playback later. You can even use the webcam to take still pictures and e-mail them to friends. The integrated microphone also supports VOIP applications.

An NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 graphics card with 256MB dedicated video memory delivers best-in-class video for games and multimedia. For the ultimate experience in streaming video and gaming, choose the version with 512MB dedicated video memory. A 17″ WXGA high-definition widescreen with BrightView is standard. For higher resolution choose the WSXGA+ option, or go for a home theater viewing experience with the Ultra BrightView. You also get high-quality sound from integrated Altec Lansing stereo speakers, plus two stereo headphone jacks (one of which is S/PDIF capable), which enables connection to your surround sound audio system. The integrated HDMI port lets you view high-definition content on your HDTV (cable sold separately).

The Pavilion dv9000t features the latest version of HP QuickPlay (2.3), which launches DVDs, music, and photos without booting the system. An optional remote, which tucks away in the ExpressCard slot, lets you control QuickPlay from up to 10 feet away. Transfer photos from your digital camera to the dv9000t via the 5-in-1 digital media card reader, then use HP Photosmart Premier software to help with photo editing, printing, organizing, sharing, and storing. You can turn pictures into movies, edit video, and create CDs and DVDs. Added bonus: burn your own, silkscreen-quality, laser-etched labels on discs when you can choose the LightScribe option on the SuperMulti DVD+/RW/R drive.

The HP xb3000 Notebook Expansion Base (sold separately) connects your dv9000t to peripherals, including a monitor if you want a desktop experience. You get an integrated 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet (RJ-45 connector), four USB 2.0, a 5-in-1 digital media card reader, an ExpressCard/54 slot, an RJ-11, an IEEE 1394 FireWire, an S-Video, and consumer IR. You also get Intel Pro/Wireless 3945ABG WLAN with optional Bluetooth.
