Dell announced availability of the Intel Core 2 Duo Notebooks
Round Rock, Texas, August 28, 2006. Dell today announced availability of the Intel® CoreTM 2 Duo mobile processors on all XPS mobile systems and Dell PrecisionTM mobile workstations, as well as select InspironTM and LatitudeTM notebooks. Multimedia enthusiasts now can be ready for the processor-intensive decoding required by the emerging Blu-ray video and computer optical disk technology. Workstation customers will benefit from 64-bit application support, as well as ability to multi-task in a complex environment and easily run multi-threaded applications.

Effective immediately, customers can purchase the following systems with Intel Core 2 Duo mobile processors:

Customers will be able to configure the Inspiron E1505 and E1405 with Intel Core 2 Duo mobile processors later this week, and the Latitude D820, D620, and D520 beginning next week.
